Making a Blanket Statement
We stitch the stats. Welcome to Wrapped in Injustice, where we turn social justice data into community craftivism, think temperature blankets for social justice.
Kickoff Project: Voting Rights
Our inaugural project tracks the history of American voting rights through a collective 14x18 grid of 252 color-coded granny squares. Framed by a starting and ending star-square, each 3-round square maps a single year of U.S. history by demographic: Round 1 for white men, Round 2 for Black men, and Round 3 for women. Using our shared color key (white for no voting rights, light blue for voting with restrictions, and dark blue for full voting rights), crafters nationwide will stitch their own visual timelines, turning historical data into a nationwide pattern of protest.
